Depends on where you are and your soil.

HERE in this high shrink, 50 CEC clay high pH, excessive lime soil what you apply will be there when you have a crop to take it up.

In East Texas with their sandy soil almost no CEC and acid soil nitrogen will be gone in 6 weeks, regardless of how much you apply. For pasture you better fertilize every 21 days.

In theory 10 lbs of N for each unit of CEC. I applied 1200 lbs/A and 7 seasons later there was the first hint of yield drag. That was 24 lbs N/A for each unit of CEC.
I believe there was some yield drag the first year or two with too much N for the available P, K &c.
HERE we will always have excessive lime.

For sure your mileage will differ.
