East Prairie, MO | Just got to start strip tilling a little today, did 40 acres trying to get everything calibrated. This is how I'll do the lighter sand in an effort to keep residue. Last year I did this also in the spring with good results only without the nh3. I am only putting a starter rate of 50 lbs of N in there to see how it will do and help reduce the sidedress rate a little. Rain is on the way so staying off of it for a week minimum shouldn't be an issue. Now I'll have to decide after the rain if I keep going with the anhydrous or not. I've been told a week will be long enough and rain will help that even more? I would have prefered to do this about 3 weeks ago to have nice stale strips but things never work out. Dap/potash about 4-6" deep, nh3 about 8-10" deep.
