Franklinton, LA | We have had 3 nights with minimum temperatures of 32 - 34 degrees. This is the coldest late March weather we have had since 1955. I know the research data shows a yield decrease if you plant corn after March 20 in Louisiana. However, my grandfather, father, uncles and neighbors would never plant corn until after Easter. They wanted to avoid problems with the cold weather that is very common the week before Easter. | |
