SE Nebraska | I assume those rates recommended are for broadcast application?? If it were me I would trying to find a way to band and inject either dry or liquid fert. Then plant as close to that band as you can. This accomplishes 2 things: less tied with P in the soil, and getting the nurtient closer to the roots always lead to better utilization. Doing so you could likely cut those rates back significantly and achieve the same response level. | |
