I'll 3rd or 4th garvo. If you can set a feeder close to the fenceline, or build a fenceline bunk cheap,then just peal off what they need for a day and then let them go to grass. If you have to go in the lot with them, then it gets substantially more complicated. But, I've put a bale over the ring on the bale fork and then peeled off what I thought I needed with a pitchfork, then take the remainder of the bale back out. Just depends on how many head, how big of bales, conditions, etc, etc. "Here" the local ASCS has a balebuster that you can rent for doing waterways and such. Is there something like that around that you could rent?
