You should be able to cut back to about 8 seeds per foot and still get 6 per foot for a final stand with a 7000 planter.

2 seeds is about what I figured too....but I'm not sure what meters he's using. By my math, 2 seeds per foot = $10/acre in seed savings alone not counting labor, fuel and all the rest of it. He says he'll plant my beans for $22.50/acre. That's a no brainer in my book if he can get the job done properly and on time.

Are you using the Kinze brush meters on your 7000?
