Subject: I have a dumb trucker's question.

Central Illinois
As a small livestock trucking company owner, I get into discussions all the time about the best trucks out there. Most owner-operators just have to have a big square nosed Pete or KW with a C-15 Cat, like those three in your picture, but complain about getting 4.5-5 mpg. All but one (a Western Star) of mine are low profile aero trucks (Volvo's) with 12 or 13 liter motors getting 6.2-6.5 mpg. Are looks that important? What am I missing?
