Do you have record of sunlight vs cloudy. To me it looks like in table 2 that b with more cover held in the heat and then the sun came and warmed up A. B was not exposing the black dirt, blocking the sun, it didn't absorb as much heat. Then the clouds came back it starts to reverse or even out at the end of the chart.
