Southern IL | Have opportunity to cash rent some new ground, 2 fields each about 16 acres, 1/2 mile apart. 2 miles from my house. One field surrounded by woods, high deer densities, irregular shaped field would be hard to plant corn, would love to go beans, but afraid the deer will devastate them. Any suggestions or crop recomendations that are the most "deer" proof? Landowners hunt them, but not enough. How is Milo vs deer? I could put wheat in the rotation also. There are a few other crop fields within 1 mile. Thanks | |
