SC Kansas
I agree with the electirc fence to keep them out, but why doesn't the cattle owner put one up to keep them IN? Everyone that has cattle knows that they will get out once in a while, but it's the habitual nature that is frustrating. We have a neighbor (doens't everyone!) who's cattle are always out. A lady was nearly killed when she wrecked into the herd of black angus at 10 pm. I stopped while they were cleaning up and told the sheriff that this happens quite a bit. He said the best thing to do is to call 911 every time they are out so that they have a record of it. My "city" raised wife isn't used to looking for cattle on the road, but I made it very clear when she moved out to the farm to slow down when she goes by his place.
