Subject: Residue Management

Norton Co. Kansas/Furnas Co. Nebraska
Has anyone tried using a mix of liquid 28%N, humic acid, table sugar to help digest cornstalks and residue? I mainly want this to boost the microbial population thinking this might help make more nutrients available during the growing season. Does anyone out there have good/bad experience with this? I have all the stuff so I plan on setting up a few test plots this summer, but might be hard to get "hard" results this summer as we are dry here in KS.
