READ the glyphosate label for guidance on additives. It wants more AMS.

I asked Purdue about that since it would take off-the-charts hardness to get to the 8.5-17 lbs / 100 the glyphosate labels recommend. Purdue said the manufacturers are conservative in their recommendations, and Purdue didn't recommend using less than the labeled rate.
