I suspect the depth is not 2' all the way across? If it was augered in through roof ports, it will be many times your estimate.

Angle of repose of oats is 28 degrees. So the volume of the pile above the 2' up the wall depth is: Area of the triangle (imagine taking a cross-section of the pile) x the length of the shed - an amount due to the pile angle on the ends.

The height of the pile above the 2' level = tangent of 28 degrees x 35' = 18.55'

So the cross-sectional area of the pile = 1/2 x (70'x18.55) = 649.25 ft^2

So taking off approx 35' off the length to accomodate for the pile tapering off on both ends would give a volume of (300-35)' x 649.25 ft^2 = 172051 ft^3

Bushels = cubic feet x 0.8 = 172051 * 0.8 = 137641 bu

So total volume = volume up to 2' level + volume of the pile = 33600 + 137641 = 171241 bushels approx

The # will be approximate because it's not the easiest calculation to figure out the amount of bushels in the ends of the pile so that's why I've approximated it.

Hope the floor is concrete and you can use a wheel loader to clean it out because that's alot of shovelling! Wish I had that pile of oats at our place. At $4/bu, that's alot of oats.
