I have been driving Ford 4x4 as old as 1975. Have never had that happen. First thought was U-Joint. Second would be rear end gear problem. If you just had work done to rear end there is an additive you are suppose to use in my '96. Can't remember what it is for. What year truck do you have? When you find the problem let me know.
