Northeast Nebraska | Thanks for the concern topshot. Its hard deciding where to draw the line. The wiring is functional, however its all ungrounded, cloth insulated wiring. Its lasted X amount of years already, how much longer will it go? It would be substantial cost to tear down lath and plaster to replace the wiring properly. I think a little common sense will make it last quite a bit longer. By not overloading it amperage wise should help. My wife also knows the situation, and knows not to be plugging in any space heaters or her hair dryer except in the bathroom which has been rewired to handle a 1500w hair dryer. | |
