If the pipe is steel, you could put an automatic door on the discharge end. It would close then water gets against it, and open when the water from the field side was higher that the discharge end. Clear as mud? We have had many of them in the river bottom, in our drainage systems, and on the farm. If the pipe you have is plastic, you may need to "make " something to adapt the door to pipe. What is the diameter of the pipe?
