Northeast Iowa | It's called the Konefal Calving Method. If you can restrict access to feed during the day, you won't see calving activity at night. I've been feeding drylot heifers at 4:00 to 6:00 in the afternoon for years with excellent success. They can have access to water all day long. Fresh bedding in the morning will screw it up, though, especially if it's cornstalk bedding they'd prefer to eat. http://farmindustrynews.com/here-maternity
