south central IOWA | My Dad got me started when I was 9. The deal was that the cow will always be 100% mine but the calf was on a 50/50 share. That worked fine but it seems that I only got paid on about 1/3 of the calf crop over the years. Oh well.....
He even stole a heifer calf from me once when I wasn't paying attention. He now has several in the herd from her. Oh well...just made me want to go buy my own herd so he couldn't steal from me anymore. :)
