If you had a manually operated valve plummed between the two hydraulic lines you could probably unhook the hoses and when you want to let the lid down just open the valve and let gravity do its work. It may not close fully as there would be more oil displaced from the ram on the lift side than will fit in the shaft side of the ram?? But if it works for you as is just that's great! |
