| Well, I can't say that it's not about time. With the number of farmers and machine sales reducing each year, as well as machinery makers leaning towards outsourcing and assembly rather than the more costly manufacturing, parts support can start concentrating on becoming more centralized within an equidistant proxemity to its most major assembly plants / business centers and major air hubs. This will save theme some mega bucks!!! CNH just did the same thing too. Looking, recently, at all of the major machinery makers parts support, CATis the only one expanding the number of its parts distribution centers while everyone else is in a cost reduction mode. | |
