Highland Center, in Southeast Iowa | I do a little antiquing, but I'm not familar with Wisconsin Furniture Company. That tilt-top idea dates back a long, long time.....early tables with that feature were sometimes on smaller bases and were called tavern tables. They could be scooted up against a wall when more floor space than table space was required. A similar table to a tavern table was sometimes found in Victorian parlors as card or tea tables, and again were scooted up against a wall to save floor space. I did find the following link online:
