Driftless SW Wisconsin

I about "chase" my steers out of the grazed corn with an Aerway. In my layout the cattle tend to use the same paths back to my waterer. I've found the Aerway does a good job of breaking up those compacted lanes without turning the soil over nor pulling up last years rootballs.

Then leave it for a couple weeks and hopefully a couple rains, then Pluribus striptill and plant the next day, theoretically around May 1.

I agree there is a big difference between manure and just leaving the stalks. Something goes on inside that bovine that coverts that corn plant into a much more readily available plant food for the next corn crop.
