| As others have said, I would suspect a weasel, fisher, river otter, or mink. I recall hearing about mink biting dairy cows udders in my area many years ago. They wipe out small flocks of chickens pretty often. They like to grab a chicken by the throat and chew on its head a little while, then go kill another one (repeat). Rats I don't think would have the gumption to go after a calf unless it was dead or dying. | |
