There is plastic bushings in the hammers, you might have messed them up by heating it. On ours we put new bushings every other year. We torch the bolts off and dont even bother trying to save anything. We probably dont haul 75 loads a year. The bushings ar less than 20 bucks. we did put a new hammer shaft it was over 700 I think
