I've been using annual ryegrass also for the last 12-15 yrs.8-10 lbs acre.Mix orchard or brome with it in grain box on drill.Cut it 2-3 times.Get 4.5-6 tons.It's harder to dry so don't put it in a windrow or use a tedder.

One nieghbor chops his for haylage taking it off earlier and it gets fed to dairy.
