Alberta, Canada		I've had poor luck with hip lifters on beef cattle. I use a sling made from a pickup belt under their brisket and soft ropes high around each hind leg to keep them level. Pick them up and see if they will start supporting weight on their feet. Had one walk away after being down 14 days once. We thought she liked us but as soon as she could leave she did.
