Germany | I have one since 2000 and still like it. There is a clear plastic seal on the bottom of the door that keeps the water from spilling outside. If you use a towel anyway the few drops that run off when the door swings open will not matter. The plastic seal will have to be replaced every couple of years if you want a clean look. Algae and mold can catch there - like on the frames and seals of framed shower doors, but these are harder to replace!
If yours is a large custom-built shower you can have a door swinging in and out both ways.
Wiping the glass and tile after showering is a "must" in every shower. We have soft water here and no issues at all. Might be different elsewhere. | |
