Central Texas | 100 bu corn x $8=$800 x 10% reduced efficiency= $80 max savings from processing the corn.
$80 won't pay for much more than a hand crank grist mill. 5 gallon buckets and water seem to make more economic sense.
Like the gravity wagon idea but wonder if it will save enough over bagged corn. Need a little pencil time on this one also.
Edit-just reread op and it appears he is paying approx $10bu for bagged cracked corn.
$10 bagged - $7 bulk = $3bu bulk savings x 100bu =$300 savings bulk vs bagged. Take a few years to pay for a gravity wagon with the savings.
Just another 2 cents worth.
