Soldiers Grove Wi. 54655

The booking agents and entertainers are pricing themselves so high that the regular Joe can't afford to buy tickets now days it seems....
Talk about a sad deal we have been hit in my neck of the woods with a celebration that's been getting better and better every year and draws people from all over the tri state area.. A lot of folks were heartbroken when they got this news... Prices were always reasonable when you consider you would be seeing so many artist at one event over a couple days.....

This was posted on their site last fall....

June of 2013 will seem different in Richland Center. After 19 years of country music festivals for the benefit of the community, officials of Star Spangled Celebration have announced that plans for another year have been canceled and the organization has decided to disband. The decision was not an easy one according to members of the Star Spangled Celebration Committee who have watched the cost of Nashville entertainment increase significantly in the last two decades with no end in sight. Those increasing costs have made it increasingly difficult in recent years to be able to meet the organization's mission statement of providing affordable family entertainment and to be able to have any chance of returning proceeds of the concert to the community.

The Star Spangled Celebration Committee found the decision especially difficult to make in light of all the hard work that has gone into making the concert a reality for the last 19 years by many volunteers who have become good friends brought together by the event. In the end, SSC decided that it was better to end on a high note while there are still some resources within the organization to make sure the concert's legacy will be a positive one.

Star Spangled Celebration will be transitioning to a close in the next few months. The annual holiday raffle will still be held as scheduled in December, so for those who purchased tickets, be sure to hold those and be ready to win. Additional tickets will also be available. More information will be made available by SSC officials next week.
