Southern IL Randolph County | I can remember from 93 when the Mississippi levee broke over on the Missouri side west of us and seeing those images on tv of the hogs and cattle clinging to roof tops, trees and whatever they could float on. The levee top had to be loaded with deer and other wild animals also. A pretty disturbing image there. I will always remember the cornstalk laced powerlines after that flood on highway 51 on the Mo. side of the river. |
