N IL
Diatomaceous earth fresh from my son's biology txt book. Diatoms, members of the phylum Bacillariophyta, are photosynthetic, unicellular Protists with unique double shells made of silica. Mainly used as an abrasive, is sold as natural pest control for slugs, fleas, grain weevils, etc. The sharp microscopic edges cut the pests as they travel thru the powder-like product, leaving them to die from desiccation, loss of water. Never heard of using internally.... But have used for years in grain bins.
