west central Iowa | When we redid the upstairs of the house we used to live in, we just built another 2x4 wall inside of the old wall. We put fiberglass in the new wall and blowin in the old. When we started heating the upstairs there was very little change in the heating bill. The rooms were about 16x16 and it didn't seem like it made them that much smaller. We wished we would have done the same thing in the downstairs, it was a lot less work than tearing all the old plaster off. | |
