| I don't know if this is what you are looking for but I am pretty sure liquid whey and D-lac are very similar. This is our 10000 gal tank we have been using for the last 3 years and just have a submersible pump we use to pump into our TMR and for circulation. We don't do anything special to keep it from spoiling but I think we go through enough to keep it fresh all of the time even through the summer. I know the D-lac has a lot of salt in it so I don't know if that is what helps keep it from going sour or what. You would have to check the feed value of the whey but I would think that you could use up what you produce for whey in a week's time and that would probably be sufficient time to use it up before it goes bad and if you are worried about it you could put propionic acid or some other preservative in it. You can also feed it to some young stock also we are feeding our D-lac to steers, heifers, along with what is going to the cows.
