Subject: I may have solved the potatoes in the slow cooker issue.

 Previous thread.

I may not have been adding enough water to the recipe. I decided to try Mrs. Greg C.'s rocommendation and use better than bouillon. I was always priming the cubed anyway, but it took more water for the btb, and that put the question in my mind, was there enough water in the mix? Evidently not as last nights batch turned out tender and looking good. Instead of 1 cup of water as stated in the recipe along with the moisture in the ingredients, I added a strong 2 cups with the bouillon and that extra cup must've been the issue.

Course it does'nt help that I am new and inexperienced with this as I just used the dutch oven recipe directly to the slow cooker. I probably best be a little more careful when making these sort of assumptions.

 Thanks.
