I am sure you have thought of this but, could you build a pond.
I have a water system coming out of a pond. No cattle around it run water lines from it.
What I did is just ran one line to the end of the well line tapped in. Put a shut off valve at the pumps on both ends. That way I can water from either source.
I have no luck some days
