Buxton ND | Rhino makes the best point of all,,,,,just because you have the bins doesn't mine its wise to fill them..... MORE SO in a "short crop,long tail" year like this................
So far this marketing year its been a crystal clear CARBON COPY of a "short crop,long tail" Putting $8 corn and $17 beans was making a MAJOR bet against the history of the market place... This summer I compared 1988 to 2012 droughts and talked about the "short crop,long tail",,,I got pounded into the ground for that,,, but I DID NOT makes the same mis-takes as i did 1988..............
Here's a question for those that put $8 corn in the bins, What price will you have to sell for next July or August to break even to that 8 dollars ? ? ?
How much is the peace of mind worth with $8 corn in the bank vs. the worries you had prior to the report/s ?
