Around here we are all so broke the kids are lined up at the bank trying to get an operating loan by the time the start high school. Im not saying one is better than the other or complaining, but when a guy gets a head start on life he hopes to be sipping coffee and watching his son work by the time he is 53. My dad loved pouring concrete 3O years ago. now he wakes up, drinks coffee and calls me and asks what his chores are for the day. i guess we just do things in reverse around here. on a side note, It seems like there are a lot of old men running combines in traditional farming country. I would rather let a 5yo run my combine than most of the guys over 40 around here. |
