Garvo, I wouldn't be too hard on yourself. All of us are guilty at times of thinking our own system works the best. BUT in your case I think you have prooven you know what has worked, and tried to improve on that in the last 40 years. Nobody upgrading thier operation in the past few years like you and others needs to second guess themselves. I had an uncle that was an excellent livestock man and farmer. He always was questioned why he did things a certain way. I think the balance sheet spoke for itself. I personally have some question why I raise sheep when I could crop all that ground in hay/pasture... Because I make money at it. My system doesn't work for most but I can prove it does with a balance sheet and my blood pressure. Hang in there you only need to answer to 2 people, the Landlady and Adam.
