NEMO | Landman, I'm out of town for a few days. I called one of the helpers to take a pic but he already filled the mixer with a new batch. Will try to get one by the end of the week.
Some company, other than Kuhn, has a knife attachment that is at a 45 degree angle. We bought the attachment and welded it to the top of the auger at the highest point and on the outside edge. Then bolted the knife to it. Now when we put a bale in, the knife facing upward at a 45 cuts on the bale and lets it drop down, while the knives sticking straight out do there job. Speeds things up a lot.
Before the added knife it seemed like it took forever for the bale to get 'processed' and did a lot of bouncing around above the auger. Now it gets 'cut' and falls down to the other knives. That explanation is probably clear as mud, but that's the best I can offer for now.
