I am wondering if I understand this correctly or not. I was under the impression that if it reverts back, the government pays a subsidy to the dairy man to make up the difference between current market price and the 1949 base price. I do not think it will raise the price in town, unless the government falsely inflates it so they do not have to pay a large subsidy.
