I recall the SF site in it's infancy . . . .
At the time, home PC with dial up modem (noise, drove the wife crazy - couldn't stand the sound - bet there are several younger posters, that don't have a clue, what that sounds like either) - It was ok, but when they changed formates, it was really, really slow loading. . .  .
I resisted the "new site" (newagtalk) - because at work, I could get on SF with really fast speeds.
I was visting AgTalk, and when SF continued making changes (adding more advertisements to front pages), I had enough - made the switch to AgTalk and doubt I visit SF more then 2 times a yr after that. It still loads very slow on my PC and IPad.
I remember Farm Journals site also - it wasn't nearly as popular as SF or AgTalks  .  .  .
