E.Central MN | I remember the big uproar when Singapore threatened to flog a US teenager for spraying graffity somewhere. My thought at the time was that if people are so scared of having it done to them then it might be one of the few things that actually works to reduce crimes by teenagers without leaving lifelong mental scars. Sure it would hurt immediately, but they'd learn not to break certain laws ever again instead of just considering it a joke. These bomb threats or shooting threats qualify as serious enough acts that they deserve serious punishment. | |
