middle TN | I read of a similar (maybe same place) deal lately. They were breeding the bottom 1/3 and repeat breeders to beef semen. I think they were using continental beef breeds instead of angus to get more frame.
I don't have any problem getting rid of Jersey steers here. I would like to finish some, but somebody always comes along wanting a few to feed for freezer beef. I could sell more as bottle calves, but use them to consume waste milk.
