You are most likely correct, however it looks like a Christmas tree to everyone that's looked at it. The post office made the comment that it was probably picked because of the Christmas tree. In the world today many things are stylized and this appeared to be a stylized Christmas tree. For example these are but a few of the stylized trees on cards etc. #5 labeled stmptree is the one to which I refer as a tree.
