north central iowa | Where we are at ground is at $175 ($16,000 per acre) per CSR point. I thought ground here hit it's high a few years ago at $8,000-$9,000 an acre. I was wrong! A few long time farmers sold out at $8,000 thinking they hit it big only to see it double a few years later while they are getting a 2% return or whatever on there money. Is this the top? Maybe. But we had good yields with very little rain this year and many land rich farmers with no debt want some place to put their money. | |
