| I have never seen a metal roof ever rust enough to cause structural problems. The roof on my 1973 WW trailer pretty bare but is still structurally sound. Does have a few tack welds here and there.
IMO, if you are concerned about rust, a coat of paint is still more durable and probably about the same price as canvas. I've dealt with enough tarps on 2 ton trucks to know I don't want anything to do with canvass. | |
