I've started to plant some fall barley for grazing/harvest. I've planted Sprinter variety, It worked out very well the first time I tried it. This crop had some frost damage, I should have left some to combine to see what it would have yielded. Darn hard to raise grain, lacking enough water here. I graze it right down to the ground in Oct./Nov.
