How much pressure will the fence be under? Meaning is it pasture fence or for a drylot? That will help to determine how much post you need. In a recent project, i found pipe and sucker rod to be a better value than continuous fence. I figured a 20' panel at 100$ea with post on 10' centers at 20$ea worked out to 7$/ft plus installation. For not much more money, i could get (6) 7/8" sucker rods and a sch. 40 2 3/4" toprail (7 bar total) with post on 8' centers. Thats a lot more fence in my opinion, slightly higher installation cost, and not as modular as panels, but much stronger and secure... and really better.appearance if thats worth anything.

Just another idea to consider
