I would try a few more samples and take them yourself. Did the same soils lab do both tests? Or maybe try another soil test lab. I also don't think soil analysis is as an exact science as some folks think it is.


I do not agree with the method of "My soil samples aren't what I think they need to be, so I will re-sample." Sometimes I see some of my own samples that come back a lot lower than I expected, I know that there is some error in sampling methods/variability in soil. But If I see a Low or a Very Low anywhere on my farm, it concerns me and I am going to ramp up my approach to fertility to correct those areas.

I think farmers will begin to figure out that soybeans hurt OM more than anything.
