What is your soil prep like?
Most european front driven implements have depth control wheels.
beware putting too much stress on front: front 3 pt comes in 2 categories: 1.5T and 5Tons (metric)
When pushing a harrow or a field cultivator, you can tear down a frame!
Some, like Laforge have a special rod that goes from front to rear to help redistribute the effort....
Anyway, puts great stress on front axles, especially when these are dualled.
Bear in mind that in europe, we are limitted on roading width and therefore try to optimize the HP using other techniques than are possible in the 'open territories'.
If you experience problems because of excessive weight on rear and feel light on the front, you might be better off using a planter caddy see www.schlagel.net or a fertilizer cart (Montag, Aulary, others) that has a 3pt on the rear to attach your planter.
